Adjusting to life with a new baby. 1-2/ so thank Adjusting to life with a new baby.

1-2/ so thankful for their ability to play for hours on end; the vroom car city set from @sparksmagtiles allowed them to combine their duplo, magnetic tiles and the vehicle tracks in new ways, what fun!

3-4/ lots of reading and watching baby, reading to baby, and watching baby while reading.

5-6/ they say the first child turns life upside down as you adapt to a completely new routine around the child, but a third child simply adapts to the rhythms already present. *sharing my personal experience, not that this is *sharing my personal experience, not that this is the best or only way, nor to invalidate anyone else’s choices*

There is much to be grateful for in how the education system spat me out the other end into a career path that I as a child could have never expected. The first in the family to get a degree, and a professional one at that. Earning money I never even knew existed. Experiencing the ups and downs of the intense corporate life in Singapore.

All these, preparing me for a quiet life in this season of motherhood. The late nights, the intense psychological demands, who knew?

Just putting it out there that just because I can work as X doesn’t mean I need to work as X, and that even if social pressures push us in a certain direction, we are autonomous human beings who make and own our choices.

If you want different, choose different. ✨
