Having kids doesn’t mean you need to live in a mes Having kids doesn’t mean you need to live in a mess!

From one young mum to another, here are 3 tips we use to keep our home tidy, even with our young children. Do you have other tips to share?

@urbancompany_sg is one great way to get part-time help on a regular basis, without breaking the bank. With 2 hour cleaning sessions starting at $39, we’re able to keep on top of cleaning tasks while still using our home daily for work, play, meals, and life.

A collection of recent mundane moments outside the A collection of recent mundane moments outside the home

1/ breakfast dates — we pack a little flask of cold milo for these special dates, lowers costs and we can pack a smaller more kid-appropriate quantity

2/ my personal goal for the coming months before baby arrives is to become more comfortable with shopping at the wet market

3/ AU broc for a fraction of supermarket price, plus can use blue CDC vouchers

4/ the luxury of time and space to just wait for the hippo to wake up (but why is @mandaiwildlifereserve raising annual pass prices 😭)

5/ waiting rooms are so much easier now

6/ sweet treats, hawker style. also CDC eligible 😬 ice jelly is my choice of local dessert and theirs too. what’s yours?

Wealth accumulation (or, white space afternoons) Wealth accumulation (or, white space afternoons)

We spend a few afternoons a week on wealth accumulation
It’s just like any other job

We complete readings (and fill minds with rich story)
We play-fight (and real-fight)
We rest (and sometimes fall asleep)
We listen (even if we don’t feel like it)

We build, create, and break down
We play

In the white space afternoons,
We breathe
And we see more clearly

———

Schedule some white space in your life. Make space for life to happen ☺️
Starting to get addicted to @amiaddicted.sg - glad Starting to get addicted to @amiaddicted.sg - glad to have had a slow 2 hours creating an antique-inspired plate!

While we are generally minimalist in our crockery choices, I’m also trying to intentionally add meaningful pieces to our collection. If all goes well, after this is glazed and fired, it will be our tea time plate! 🫖
